Can I use different financing options on different systems in one proposal?

Yes, you may click on the financing button, select the desired finance options, then print the proposal. When you change the finance criteria the proposal will use the last change made.

I made a change in the proposal, but the installers guide and job costing will not reflect the changes made.

You must click on the "Calculate" button for any changes to be calculated.

How can I offer specials on Rebates or Extended Warranties without changing my net cost.

Go to the Company Setup Screen, then Warranty/Rebate tab. Set the stop and start dates to reflect your promotion period, then set the desired discount from the regular price. You may right click on the date field for a popup calendar to appear. You should then go to the Data Screen (Warranty/Rebate tab), select the desired warranty to include in promotions by checking the "Include in Promotions check box". Don't forget to update the record.

Parts of my proposal will not print out.

Check the ink level in your printer cartridge. You may be out of one color.

My Computer does not have a floppy drive, how can I import my pricing files or backup my data files?

You will have to access the pricing file from your computer, have the file emailed or copy to a CD-ROM. If you back up files on to a CR-Rom, you will need to copy these files to a directory on your hard drive and change the files attributes to "Archive". You can do this by right clicking on each file and select properties, then click on "Archive" on the bottom of the Properties dialog box. Changing the file attribute does not have to be done if you are only importing net prices from your distributor. Only change the attribute if you are restoring from a backup or transferring files to another computer.

Can I Email a proposal?

Not at this time, we will include that option with a later update.

Can I compare different kits as options?

You cannot compare the whole kit as an option. You may however, compare optional equipment with the kit selected in the proposal. This allows you to use a kit in the proposal (Saving time), then select as many pieces of equipment that you desire to show as an optional cost compared to the one in the kit.

Can I use the software for new construction?

Yes, you may install the program to a different directory on your computer. This will enable you to set different markups and different data for new construction. We will have a program out designed for new construction planned for the fall of 2003.

Where do I enter equipment?

Go to the Data Screen, then "Equipment" tab. You may enter equipment in this screen, however pay special attention to the family and efficiency fields. These fields will sort the equipment in the proposal screen. You should always enter a few items, then go to the proposal screen and enter the item into the proposal to view the drop down lists. Once you determine that this is appropriate, you may continue entering items. The "Installation" tab can be used to enter material other than equipment.

When I click the "Add Manual Material/Labor" button, I get an error message "No data available for this Model" and I cannot enter this screen. What can I do?

You may have deleted material in your database that is listed in the "Description/Tag". Go to the Data screen and view the "Description/Tags" tab. "A thru N" tags should have data entered in the Installation database. You may either change the Description/Tags listing for "A" or enter data for the Tags under "A". The problem occurs when the screen opens up and there is no data in the data base for the first heading "A".

I received an upgrade for your software, will I need to unlock the software again?

No, you will not need another unlock. Even if you delete the entire program and reinstall you should not have to unlock again. You may also install the program more than once on the same computer without unlocking again. If you reformat your hard drive you will require a new unlock.

How do I delete unwanted templates?

You will have to go to "My Computer" on the desktop, find the template (usually C:/Program Files/Adtek/brand/sales/templates substitute "brand' with your manufacture) then highlight the unwanted template, right click on the file, left click on delete. The template may be listed twice, once with a "sse"  extension and once with a "bu" extension. Delete both if desired. When the template is saved more than once, a backup is created with a "bu" extension.

Why don't the movies play when I click on them?

You will need to click on the "Customize" button and set the path or download the movies from the appropriate source. You have the option of using the CD-Rom each time the movie is viewed or download it to your hard drive. Please consult your manual or call tech support if you need help.

Is there a way to add a special markup to selected pieces of equipment?

Yes, you may go to the equipment data screen, select the equipment, then type in the desired markup. This will override the markup in the Company setup file for this piece of equipment.

In the Company setup (Print Setup tab), I added lines to the proposal guarantee, Why don't they print out?

There is a limit to the number of characters that you may print. If you would like to add more, you will need to create a template with our Report WriterTM
